Custom Activewear Printing in Vancouver for Teams, Gyms and Brands

Printing on performance fabric isn’t the same job as printing on a cotton tee. Polyester stretches, repels water, and reacts to heat, so the ink, the cure, and the garment all have to be chosen together. That’s the part we’re actually good at.

Firebird Prints produces custom activewear out of our Vancouver shop: performance tees, team jerseys with names and numbers, shorts, joggers, quarter-zips, and warm-ups for gyms, sports teams, run clubs, corporate wellness programs, and athletic brands across the Lower Mainland.

Need something specific? We also print custom hoodies and tank tops, most team orders end up combining a few of them.

Sublimation
Sublimation

The dye becomes part of the polyester, so there’s no layer to crack or peel. The right call for full-coverage jerseys and unlimited colours.

Digital Printing
Digital Printing

Best for detailed, full-colour artwork on smaller runs and lighter performance fabrics.

Custom Jerseys and Team Uniforms in Vancouver

A jersey has to survive a season, not a season’s worth of Instagram photos. That means the numbers can’t peel off in week three and the colours can’t go chalky after a dozen washes.

Names and numbers

Send us your roster and we’ll handle the rest, player names, numbers, and sizes mapped to each person. On full polyester, names and numbers can be sublimated into the fabric so there’s nothing to crack or lift at the edges.

Added a player after the order? A single replacement jersey is a normal request here, not a problem.

Sports we outfit

Soccer, basketball, volleyball, hockey, softball and baseball, lacrosse, rugby, track, flag football, cheer, and rec leagues of every kind.

Each sport has its own cut and coverage expectations, and we’ll match the garment to the sport rather than putting everyone in the same shirt.

Sponsor logos and multiple placements

Front crest, back number, sleeve sponsors, shoulder marks, we’ll lay out the whole kit so the elements don’t fight each other on the garment.

Team sizing

Athletic cuts run differently from standard tees, and mixed rosters need men’s, women’s, and youth fits in the same order.

Tell us the breakdown and we’ll confirm what’s available before anything is produced.

Why Printing on Performance Fabric Is Its Own Job

  1. Dye migration is the real risk. Polyester is dyed with a dye that can turn back into a gas under heat and creep up into your ink,  so a crisp white logo on a red jersey can quietly turn pink days after it leaves the shop. It’s the single most common failure on cheap performance printing. We use dye-blocking inks and cure at temperatures the fabric can take, and on risky colour combinations we test first.
  2. Sublimation needs polyester to work. The dye bonds with synthetic fibres, not cotton. Around 65% polyester is the practical floor, below that, the colour comes out washed and patchy. If your chosen garment is a lower blend, we’ll steer you to DTF or screen printing instead of promising something the fabric can’t do.
  3. Stretch has to be part of the plan. A print that’s rigid will crack the first time the fabric stretches under it. Ink choice and coverage both change on four-way stretch garments, heavy solid blocks are the usual culprit.
  4. Wicking finishes affect adhesion. Some moisture wicking treatments make fabric resist ink the same way they resist sweat. Knowing which garments do that is most of the battle.

Activewear We Print

Performance Tees

Moisture wicking short and long sleeve shirts for training, gym floors, and event crews, the most ordered piece on this page.

Shorts and Joggers

Training shorts, running shorts, and joggers, usually branded with a hip or leg logo rather than a chest print.

Leggings and Compression Wear

Fitted pieces for studios and training programs, where stretch dictates both the ink and the placement.

Quarter-Zips and Warm Up Jackets

Sideline and pre-game layers for coaches, staff, and squads who need to look like one unit off the field.

Singlets and Sleeveless Training Tops

Running, wrestling, and track pieces cut for maximum movement.

Quarter-Zips and Warm Up Jackets

Moisture wicking polyester, four way stretch blends, lightweight mesh for hot weather sport, and recycled poly where sustainability matters. Some options come with UV protection or odour control finishes, we’ll flag which ones actually offer it rather than claiming it across the board.

Also common in team orders: custom hoodies for warmth and tank tops for summer training.

Team Orders, Reorders and Local Production

There’s no minimum. That matters more in team apparel than anywhere else, rosters change, someone joins in week four, a jersey gets destroyed. We keep your setup on file so a batch of two matches the batch of forty you ordered in September.

For larger orders we handle mixed sizes and colours, player names and numbers, sponsor placements, and the coordination that comes with outfitting a whole club.

Everything is printed in our Vancouver shop, and we work with teams, gyms, and businesses across Metro Vancouver (Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey, Coquitlam, North Vancouver, and West Vancouver) with local pickup and Lower Mainland delivery.

Ordering is short: send your artwork, garment, and roster or quantity; approve the proof; we print. If something about the fabric or the design won’t work, you’ll hear it before production rather than after.

Frequently Asked Questions About Active Wear Printing

Can you add player names and numbers to jerseys?

Yes, send your roster with names, numbers, and sizes. On full polyester we can sublimate them into the fabric so there’s no edge to peel.

What's the difference between sublimation and DTF on activewear?

Sublimation dyes the fabric itself, so it only works on polyester and gives unlimited colour with no feel on the garment. DTF sits on top but handles blends and stretch well. The garment usually decides which one you get.

My logo is white on a red jersey, will it stay white?

That’s the classic dye migration scenario. With dye-blocking inks and the right cure it stays white; without them it can shift pink over the following days. It’s worth asking any printer this question.

Can I order a few replacement jerseys mid-season?

Yes. There’s no minimum and we keep your setup on file, so a one off replacement matches the original order.

Do you print shorts, leggings, and warm-ups too?

Yes, shorts, joggers, leggings, quarter-zips, warm-up jackets, and singlets, alongside performance tees and jerseys.
