Large Format Sticker and Decal Printing in Vancouver
A storefront window is the cheapest advertising space a business already owns. Same with a blank office wall or an empty stretch of retail floor. Adhesive graphics turn those surfaces into brand real estate without drilling a single hole.
We print large format stickers and decals in Vancouver for glass, walls and floors, at any size from a single door graphic to a full building frontage. Installation is available if you would rather not do it yourself.
Which Vinyl Film to Choose
This is the decision that matters. Everything else follows from it.
Printed Vinyl Decals
The default. Full colour graphics printed on white or clear adhesive vinyl, then contour cut to your shape. Goes on glass, painted walls, metal, acrylic and most smooth sealed surfaces.
Perforated Window Film
Micro perforated vinyl that reads as a solid graphic from outside while staying see through from inside. Daylight still comes in and staff can still see the street. This is what you want on a large storefront window you do not want to black out. It mounts on the exterior face of the glass only.
Cut Vinyl Lettering
Individual letters and shapes cut from solid colour vinyl with no printed background, so the glass shows through between characters. The clean choice for business names, opening hours, phone numbers and door signage. Supplied on transfer tape so you can apply it yourself in one piece.
Frosted Vinyl
Translucent film that mimics acid etched glass. Standard for boardroom partitions, clinic and dental offices, washroom doors and any glass wall that needs privacy without losing light. Your logo or pattern can be reverse cut out of the frost so the clear glass forms the artwork.
Static Cling
No adhesive at all. It holds by surface tension, peels off with zero residue and can be repositioned or stored and reused. Best for short campaigns and seasonal messaging, applied to the inside of the glass.
Wall Vinyl and Murals
Wider format adhesive film for full wall coverage, available in matte, satin and textured finishes. Used for feature walls, brand storytelling, office graphics and photographic murals. Matte hides wall imperfections better than gloss.
Floor Graphics
Printed vinyl with a textured anti slip laminate rated for foot traffic. Directional arrows, queue markers, promotional zones and event branding. Needs a sealed, smooth floor to bond properly.
First Surface vs Second Surface Window Decals
Most people never think about this, and it changes how the file has to be built.
First surface means the decal goes on the outside of the glass and you look straight at the printed face. Simple to apply, easy to remove, but exposed to weather and to anyone who wants to pick at a corner.
Second surface means the decal goes on the inside and is read through the glass from the street. The artwork has to be printed in reverse on clear film with a white ink or backing layer behind it. The glass then protects the graphic from rain, sun and tampering. Worth the extra setup for anything meant to last.
If a decal needs to read correctly from both sides, we build it with an opaque block layer sandwiched between two prints so neither face shows through the other.
Tell us which side the graphic is going on and we will handle the mirroring and the white layer.
Removable vs Permanent Adhesive
The adhesive is chosen from how long the graphic needs to stay, not from how big it is.
- Removable. Weeks to a season. Lifts clean off glass and sealed paint. Right for promotions, launches and event branding
- Semi permanent. A year or two. Still removable with heat, though it takes longer
- Permanent. Multi year exterior work. Strongest bond, and removal will likely take paint with it
A common mistake is ordering permanent adhesive for a three month campaign and then paying twice as much to get it off a painted wall. Tell us the timeline and we will spec accordingly.
Sizes and Splitting Large Graphics Into Panels
There is no fixed size list. Everything is cut to your dimensions, in any shape you can supply as a vector cut path.
Our print rolls run up to 54 inches wide. Anything wider than that gets split into panels with a small overlap and installed edge to edge.
On a well planned layout the seams fall along natural breaks in the artwork and are close to invisible once up. For very large walls we plan the panel splits before printing rather than after.
Measure the actual surface, not the plan drawing. Frames, mullions, sills and light switches move a lot more than people expect.
Where Window and Wall Graphics Are Used
- Storefront windows for sales, seasonal campaigns and new openings
- Coming soon and under construction hoarding while a space is being fitted out
- Restaurant and café windows for menus, hours and delivery partners
- Clinic, dental and salon glass for privacy and service listings
- Office reception walls, meeting room glass and internal wayfinding
- Retail feature walls and fitting room branding
- Gyms and studios for schedules, motivational walls and mirror graphics
- Event floors, pop up shops and brand activations
- Condo and development sales centres
Artwork and File Setup for Large Decals
Large format is more forgiving on resolution than small print, and much less forgiving on everything else.
- Vector artwork wherever possible. It scales to any size with no quality loss
- Raster images at 100 to 150 DPI at full print size is enough. A 300 DPI file at wall scale is an enormous file for no visible gain
- Add a quarter inch bleed and supply a separate vector cut path for contour cut shapes
- Build in CMYK and send brand colour references, since vinyl and laminate both shift colour slightly
- Keep fine detail and thin type away from perforated film. The perforations break up anything delicate
- Photograph the surface and send us the shot along with your measurements
No print ready file? Send your logo and what you want it to say. Our design team will build the layout at the correct scale.
Installing and Cleaning Vinyl Graphics
Small decals and cut lettering are straightforward to apply yourself. Clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol rather than a household glass cleaner, since most of those leave a silicone film that stops vinyl bonding.
For large single panels, perforated film, tiled wall graphics and anything at height, use our installation service. A wet applied panel that traps air or drifts out of square is very hard to rescue.
Once installed, clean with mild soap and water and a soft cloth. Never abrasive pads, solvent cleaners or a pressure washer. Give a new graphic a couple of days to cure before the first wash.
Sticker, Banner or Rigid Sign
Adhesive graphics are the right answer when a flat surface already exists and you want the branding to look built in. If any of these describe your job, something else fits better.
No surface to stick to, or the sign needs to move between locations, points to a vinyl banner. A freestanding exterior sign for a site or property points to outdoor sign boards. Sidewalk promotion points to a sandwich board. Indoor messaging you plan to swap out often points to foam boards.
And if you are after small stickers to hand out rather than large graphics to install, those are swag stickers.

Large Format Sticker FAQ
What is the difference between a decal, a sticker and a cling?
A decal and a sticker are the same thing, adhesive backed printed vinyl. A cling has no adhesive and holds by surface tension, which makes it repositionable and reusable but limited to smooth glass.
Can I see out through a window graphic?
With perforated film, yes. It reads as a solid image from the street and stays see through from inside. Standard printed vinyl on white film is opaque and will block the view.
Will a decal damage my paint or glass?
Not on glass, and not on properly sealed paint if you use removable adhesive. Freshly painted, chalky or unsealed drywall is the risk. Tell us the surface and how long it is staying up and we will match the adhesive to it.
How long do window graphics last outdoors?
Several years on exterior grade film, longer if it is applied second surface so the glass shields it from UV and rain. Removable film for short campaigns is not built to last that long by design.
Can stickers be cut to a custom shape?
Yes. Anything you can supply as a vector cut path, including logo outlines, lettering and irregular shapes. There is no rectangle requirement.
What is the largest single piece you can print?
Our rolls run up to 54 inches wide with effectively unlimited length. Wider graphics are split into overlapping panels and installed as one continuous image.
Do you install, or is it self applied?
Both. Cut lettering and small decals ship with transfer tape for easy self application. For large panels, perforated film and anything at height, we recommend our installation service.
Do you offer volume rates for multi location rollouts?
Yes. Franchise and multi site campaigns print in a single run so colour matches across every location, and volume rates apply.
