Premium Retractable Banner Printing in Vancouver
Nobody upgrades a banner stand because the print looked bad. They upgrade because the base tipped over on a busy floor, or because the graphic came back curled after the third event, or because they wanted to change the message and found out the graphic was glued into the hardware.
Our premium retractable banners solve those three problems specifically. Wider weighted base, graphics that drop out and swap, and single or double sided in widths up to 59 inches.
What Makes a Banner Stand Premium
Wide Base with Adjustable Feet
The footprint is deeper and the base carries real weight, with fold out feet that level on uneven convention centre carpet. On a crowded floor where people are brushing past all day, this is the difference you notice within the first hour.
Replaceable Graphics
The graphic and roller live in a sealed cassette that lifts out of the base. Open the lid, drop in a different cassette, closed. Two minutes, no tools.
That means you can keep a small library of graphics on one stand. Seasonal campaign, product launch, recruiting message, conference booth, all sharing the same hardware. Over a few years that is the whole argument for premium.
Adjustable Height Pole
A twist to lock telescopic pole covers roughly 30 to 84 inches instead of one fixed height.
Useful when a venue has a low ceiling, when the stand sits on a riser, or when you want to run a shorter graphic in the same base. The pole stows inside the base for transport.
Tension Adjuster for a Flat Graphic
A tension knob on the cassette lets you re-tighten the roller. Every spring loaded stand loses a little tension over its life, and on a basic unit that is permanent. Here you correct it in seconds and the graphic sits flat again.
Metal Top Rail vs Adhesive Strip
The graphic clamps into a metal top rail with set screws rather than an adhesive strip.
Adhesive strips work fine until they do not, and they never fail at a convenient moment. Mechanical is mechanical.
Single or Double Sided Banner Stands
Double sided puts two graphics back to back in one base with an opaque layer between them, so neither print shows through the other. It is the right call whenever the stand is approached from two directions: aisle ends, open floor plans, walkways, between two booths, or a lobby people cross rather than face.
Run the same artwork both sides for consistency, or two different messages to say more in the same footprint. A double sided unit weighs roughly twice its single sided equivalent, which is worth knowing if you are flying to an event.
Single sided is still the right choice against a wall or the back of a booth. Nobody is reading the side facing the curtain.
Banner Stand Widths: 33 to 59 Inches
Premium stands come in a wider spread than the entry level tier:
- 33 inches. The familiar footprint, in premium hardware
- 39 inches. Noticeably more presence without taking much more floor
- 47 inches. Reads as a display rather than a sign. Good for a booth back wall in a 10 by 10
- 59 inches. The widest single stand we produce, and a genuine backdrop on its own
Height adjusts across the pole range rather than being fixed. If you need to cover more wall than 59 inches, you want a custom backdrop instead. Two premium stands side by side never quite line up, and the seam shows in photos.
Vinyl or Fabric Graphics
Premium stands take either.
Anti curl opaque vinyl is the default. Heavier gauge than entry level film, holds a flat edge through repeated retraction, and wipes clean.
Dye sublimated fabric with a black backing is the choice when the banner will be photographed. Ink bonds into the fibre so there is no surface sheen at all, which means no flash hotspot and no glare stripe under stage lighting. Fabric needs an extra inch of bleed, so tell us before you build the file.
If your banner is going to end up in event photography or press coverage, choose fabric. Everywhere else, vinyl.

Artwork Setup for Double Sided Stands
Everything that applies to a standard stand applies here too. A few things are specific to this tier:
- For double sided, design both faces as a matched pair. Mismatched crop heights between the two sides are obvious in person
- Keep logos at the same vertical position on both faces so the unit reads as one object from any angle
- Confirm your width before building. A file laid out for 33 inches and stretched to 47 looks stretched
- Fabric graphics need an extra inch of bleed all round
- Avoid large solid dark fields on fabric. They show handling marks across repeated setups

Replacing the Graphic on a Banner Stand
Order a replacement graphic and we can supply it loaded into a new cassette or as a graphic only for you to fit into your existing one.
Reorders are matched against your original file, so a graphic printed two years after the first one still lines up with the rest of your booth.
Keep your original artwork and tell us the previous job when you reorder.
When a Basic Banner Stand Is Enough
Plenty of jobs do not. One banner for a lobby that goes up and stays there, a single storefront promotion, an occasional community event. If that describes yours, our basic retractable banners do the same visual job for less, and the print quality is identical.
Premium is worth it when the hardware is going to be worked hard, seen from two sides, or reused across changing campaigns. Not otherwise.

What makes a banner stand premium rather than standard?
Four things: a wider weighted base with adjustable feet, a drop in graphic cassette, a telescopic height pole, and a clamped metal top rail instead of an adhesive strip. Double sided and wider formats are only available at this tier.
How quickly can I change the graphic?
About two minutes. Lift the old cassette out, drop the new one in, close the lid. No tools and nothing to unscrew.
Is double sided worth the extra?
Only if people approach from two directions. In an aisle or an open floor it roughly doubles who sees your message. Against a wall it adds weight and cost for nothing.
What widths do you offer?
33, 39, 47 and 59 inches. For anything wider, a custom backdrop is a better solution than two stands side by side.
Should I choose vinyl or fabric?
Fabric if the banner will be photographed, because it has no surface sheen and will not flare under flash. Vinyl for everything else. Both are available on premium hardware.

Yes. Multi unit orders print in one run, and later reorders are matched against your original file so new graphics still match your existing set.
