Professional Branded Polo Shirts for Teams, Staff and Corporate Wear
A polo is the garment most businesses reach for when a t-shirt is too casual and a button-down is too formal. Firebird Prints produces custom polo shirts in Vancouver for staff uniforms, corporate teams, hospitality and retail floors, trade shows, and client-facing roles, decorated with logo embroidery or printing, depending on the artwork and the fabric.
Most polo orders are uniform orders, which means they get worn hard and reordered later. We build them that way: the right knit for the environment, the right decoration method for the logo, consistent colour and sizing across the team, and a setup we can repeat identically the next time you order.
Polos take logo embroidery especially well, see our custom embroidery page for how stitched branding works across garments. Outfitting a full team? Browse the complete custom apparel range, or pair your polos with embroidered hats for a coordinated look.
The standard for polos. Stitched logos sit cleanly on piqué and hold their look through constant uniform washing, ideal for left chest branding.
Best for detailed or full-colour logos that embroidery can’t reproduce cleanly, with a smooth finish on flatter polo knits.
Strong on performance and blended polo fabrics, holding colour and stretch on moisture-wicking garments.
Efficient for larger polo runs with simple, solid-colour branding that needs to repeat consistently across the order.
Embroidery or printing on a polo?
Both work, the right choice comes down to the logo and the fabric.
Choose embroidery when…
- The logo is small and sits on the left chest or sleeve
- The polos are daily uniforms that get washed constantly
- You want a textured, corporate finish that reads as premium
Choose printing when…
- The artwork has fine detail, gradients, or many colours
- The design is larger than a standard chest logo
- The polo is a lightweight performance fabric
Not sure? Send the logo and tell us where it’s going, we’ll recommend the method before anything is produced. More on custom embroidery →
Custom Polo Shirts for Uniforms, Teams and Corporate Branding
A polo is the default uniform across industries where staff are seen by customers all day:
- Hospitality & restaurants – front-of-house teams who need a clean look that survives repeat washing
- Retail & customer service – staff who should be identifiable on the floor at a glance
- Trades, property & field crews – durable, breathable uniforms with clear branding
- Corporate & office teams – polished daily wear and client-facing apparel
- Trade shows & events – booth staff who need to look coordinated and approachable
- Golf days & corporate tournaments – branded polos for teams, sponsors, and guests
Sports clubs & associations, coaching staff, officials, and team management wear
Because polos get reordered as teams grow, we keep your garment, colour, and decoration setup on file so a later batch matches the first one.
Polo Shirt Fabrics, Knits and Styles
The knit matters as much as the fibre, it decides how the polo sits, how it wears, and how a logo lands on it.
Piqué Knit Polos
The classic textured polo knit. Structured, breathable, and the most reliable surface for embroidered logos, the texture gives stitching a crisp, premium finish. The default choice for corporate uniforms.
Jersey Knit Polos
Smoother and softer with a flatter surface, closer to a t-shirt in feel. A good fit when the logo is printed rather than stitched, or when comfort is the priority.
Performance Polos
Moisture-wicking, quick-drying fabrics for staff on their feet, outdoor crews, active workdays, and golf. Often available with stretch and snag-resistant construction.
Cotton and Poly-Cotton Blend Polos
Cotton for softness and everyday office comfort; blends for shape retention, colour stability, and durability through frequent industrial-style washing, the practical option for hard-wearing uniforms.
Short Sleeve and Long Sleeve
Both are available across most styles, so you can run one look through warmer and cooler months without changing your branding.
Fit and Sizing for Team Orders
A uniform only looks like a uniform when it fits everyone. Polo styles are available in men’s, women’s, and unisex cuts, with extended size ranges across most options, so nobody on the team ends up in something that doesn’t fit.
For mixed orders, we keep the logo position and size visually consistent across different cuts, so a women’s polo and a men’s polo still read as the same uniform standing side by side.
Sizing across your team is easy to sort out before production, tell us your breakdown and we’ll confirm availability in the style and colour you want.
Logo Placement and Artwork Setup
Where the logo goes. Left chest is the standard for polos and works for almost every corporate logo. Sleeve branding suits secondary marks or sponsor logos, and centre back is used when you want the branding readable from a distance, common for event and field crews.
Preparing artwork for embroidery. Stitched logos are digitized first: your artwork is converted into a stitch file that tells the machine how to sew it. Fine text and thin lines behave differently in thread than they do on screen, so we adjust the setup and confirm it with you before production rather than after.
Keeping stitching clean. Polo knits need the right backing and tension so the fabric stays flat and the logo doesn’t distort or pucker over time. That setup is part of the job, not an extra step you have to ask for.
Files. Vector artwork gives the cleanest result. If all you have is a logo from your website or a photo of an old uniform, send it anyway, we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s usable and what it needs.
Small Orders, Bulk Orders and Reorders
There’s no minimum on polo orders. A handful of polos for a small team is a real order here, not an exception we make reluctantly, and the same setup scales up when you’re outfitting multiple locations.
What that means in practice:
- Order a few polos for a new team, or a full run for an entire staff
- Add to an existing order later without restarting the setup
- Consistent colour, sizing, and logo placement across every batch
- One team handling garment selection, decoration, and quality control in Vancouver
Send your logo, the quantity, and where you want the branding, we’ll confirm the setup and get you a quote.

Custom Polo Shirt Printing FAQ
What fabric is best for custom polo shirts?
Piqué is the classic uniform choice, structured, breathable, and the best surface for embroidery. Jersey knits feel softer and suit printed logos. Performance fabrics work best for active or outdoor teams, and poly-cotton blends hold shape and colour through heavy washing.
Do you offer women's and men's polo fits?
Yes. Polo styles come in men’s, women’s, and unisex cuts with extended sizing across most options, so a mixed team can wear the same uniform without fit compromises.
Where should the logo go on a polo shirt?
Left chest is the standard placement and works for most corporate logos. Sleeves suit secondary or sponsor marks, and centre back is used when branding needs to be visible from a distance.
Does embroidery hold up better than printing on polos?
For small logos on uniform polos that are washed constantly, embroidery is the more durable finish. Printing is the better choice when the artwork is detailed, multi-coloured, or larger than a chest logo.
Can I reorder the same polos later and have them match?
Yes. We keep your garment, colour, and decoration setup on file so a later batch matches the original order, important for teams that grow or replace uniforms over time.
Can you embroider a logo I don't have in vector format?
Usually. Send whatever you have and we’ll tell you if it’s workable and what setup it needs before anything goes into production.
